Owners, Asko and Jana have created a fun and funky food truck experience complete with fresh and tasty eats. Jana, an accomplished chef and her dive master boyfriend decided to embark on a food adventure. So far, reviews suggest they scored a win.
I recently interviewed Asko and Jana. Take a peak and when next on island, stop at sunny Bachelor’s Beach for a culinary experience with King Kong Burgers.
Why King Kong?
Asko: We were looking for an easy to remember name and good to combine with a logo. I saw King Kong somewhere and it stuck plus a friend made us a cool logo.
What inspires you to cook?
Jana and I always liked cooking. We love food made with good products. All senses are enticed and it is legal.
What’s different about King Kong?
Besides that we make it with love. We use fresh products and we don’t use plastic like straws and cups or styrofoam.
We cook for meat lovers and vegetarians. We want a menu available for all tastes and wallets.
We sell burgers hot dogs and fries, keeping it really simple. But our burgers are far from simple.
Tell me about your background in cooking?
I did hotel school worked in several hotels, cruise ships and restaurants.
