I have been flying to and from the Caribbean since 1987. I lived in Antigua and how divide my time between the US and Bonaire. It was a daunting task to choose a hotel but I settled on Metropolitan Como. This new lavish 74 room property is a bit north from the action yet most convenient to everything. Reservationist Elena made the choice simple. She is a consummate professional in every regard. She paid attention to all details insuring my stay was nothing short of perfect. From check in to check out, everything was flawless. Our room was a corner oceanview king suite. The decor is modern and warm and welcoming. WIFI, stereos, chic lighting, modern bath with lovely apothecaries enhance the experience. The bedding is cotton, crisp and comfy. Everything flows at Metropolitan Como. We loved the COMO Shambhala Urban Escape. This luxurious spa is situated on the 8th floor. Soft spa music soothes the soul. The rooftop hydrotherapy spa pumps out steamy warm healing water with stunning views of the sea and city. Another favorite spot was the outdoor patio and pool area. Fernando and the pool staff attended to all of our needs, settling us into relaxing sun beds and replenishing our empty tropical drink glasses.
Returning home is always welcome but leaving Metropolitan Como was most difficult. We are already planning our return. As we drove away, we felt like we were leaving something very familiar and felt a little ache leaving such a beautiful oasis.
