Kid Bliss on Bonaire

To say that Bonaire is one of the Caribbean’s best family vacation is an understatement. Kids love Bonaire.  What’s not to like?  The water is warm and at Lac Bay, kid-friendly shallow. You can see to the bottom. Kids love to splash in the shallows, catching and releasing little fish.  Kids love to jump off the dock at the marina at Lac Bay.  Often, a crew of kiddies are taking turns to see who can make the biggest splash. When the wind is light, kids climb onto tiny windsurf rigs and sail across the bay under their parent’s proud watchful eyes.

The Donkey Sanctuary is a must do kids activity. Buy a $5 sack of day old bread at Top Supermarket in town or bags of carrots and head over to the Sanctuary located off the road to Sorobon. Driving through the donkey safari is great fun for all.

Dining around offers some great kid friendly items. Client’s favorites include pizza at Rum Runners. Dining seaside, kids can watch the great Tarpons feeding below. Adults will enjoy the creative cuisine and top notch cocktail menu. Another favorite is The Beach located across from Windsock Resort. The Beach is a seaside dining spot with loads of shade and a lovely swimming area before or after meals. The menu features light and casual fare enjoyed by kids and adults. The burgers are massive.  Gio’s is the go to spot for after dinner gelato. The varieties include  decadent Cookie Dough and S’Mores.
