UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY SEMINARS at BUDDY DIVE RESORT
John Wall, Manager of Buddy Dive Resort’s Digital Photoshop, hosts annual Planet Ocean Fest underwater photography seminar
From November 28th till December 18th John Wall (Manager of Buddy’s Digital Photoshop and underwater photography specialist for years) invites those divers who are interested in underwater photography to join the weekly program of Planet Ocean Fest. The weekly program includes three (digital) photo classes and photo safaris (underwater). The price for the program is only $100 for Buddy Dive Resort, Belmar Oceanfront Apartment, and Caribbean Club Bonaire’s guests (regularly valued at $225).
Planet Ocean Fest Program:
Sunday – Registration at Buddy Dive Digital Photo Center
Monday – Diving with a Digital Camera
Emphasis of this class:
• Preparation of camera housing to insure watertight integrity
• Personalized camera settings to facilitate colorful underwater photos
• Proper underwater camera technique
• Proper buoyancy control and body position to minimize harmful impact on coral reef
• Successful techniques for approaching fish and predicting fish behavior
• Review of images at 4 pm in classroom
Tuesday – Macro and close up photography
Emphasis of this class:
• Preparing and using the camera in the macro setting
• Re-emphasis of buoyancy control and body position to minimize harmful impact of coral reef
• Successful techniques for closely approaching vertebrates and invertebrates
• Camera angles that add impact to macro shots
• Review of images at 4 pm in classroom
Wednesday – Advanced Camera settings
Emphasis of this class:
Thursday
Free photo day to enhance skills learned during classes conducted on Mon – Wed. Participants are to submit images for final review and inclusion in Buddy Dive CD-ROM Calendar between 4 – 5 pm.
Friday
All images submitted by participants will be displayed all day at the Digital Photo Center. An Award & Recognition Ceremony will be held during the Manager’s Rum Party.
