BONAIRE LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE AT WWW.TOURISMBONAIRE.COM
**Re-vamped Web Site Provides a New Look and Feel for the Official Site of Bonaire**
Kralendijk, Bonaire – The Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) is pleased to announce the launching of a re-vamped web site, with a new sleek design and which is available in English, Dutch, and Spanish.
Visitors to the island’s official web site at http://www.tourismbonaire.com will reach a new landing page, welcoming them to the site, where they can listen to some local background music by the island’s “Grupo Piedra di Bonaire”.
From the landing page, visitors may move to the home page–which features the new look and feel of the web site and highlights innovative features–or they may watch a short video about the island.
There are many new components to the site, including a live events calendar and a quick look at upcoming events, an area where the island’s press releases and island news can be accessed, and a multimedia gallery including videos and images of Bonaire. Those with upcoming trips can check the daily weather and the weekly forecast before stepping on the plane, or find exactly what they need on the site using the new search feature.
Bonaire Ambassadors will provide testimonials and there is an image and video gallery of their awards. Visitors can visit the site’s feature area and get to know Bonaire’s friendly people with one click. Or, make your opinion count in the polls area, where visitors to the site can actively participate in question & answer polls that will be posted frequently about Bonaire.
The new interface, navigation, information, and visual design are stimulating and exciting, and there are icons with links to the island’s Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter pages. Potential travelers can download pictures or brochures, or scroll through a range of accommodations and vacation rentals offered around Bonaire, use the dedicated vacation planner, or even subscribe for e-news via e-mail. Those with upcoming flights to or from Bonaire will be able to view real-time flight arrival and departure times at Bonaire’s Flamingo Airport via a link to the airport’s web site.
“TCB is very pleased to be able to offer this exciting new web site to the visitors of Bonaire. We’re sure that this site will fill the need for pertinent, up-to-date information about the island which every visitor needs to plan the ideal vacation,” said Ronella Tjin Asjoe-Croes, Director of Tourism. “In this era of the Internet, it is important that Bonaire continues to be on the cutting edge of technology and our new site reflects that position.” she concluded.
