Andy Brandt the windsurf guru returns to Jibe City Bonaire for a one week camp this summer. The camp commences Aug. 17 and includes freestyle. Bonaire is the perfect setting to learn to sail or hone your skills. Andy’s team of teachers will help you reach the next level and beyond. The 5 day camp commences Monday AM and ends Friday later afternoon. There is land and on the water instruction as well as video formats and viewing.

Bonaire Singles Windsurf Week March 9-16 2012

Each year I organize Singles Weeks for solo travelers who love to windsurf but don’t love traveling alone. The group meets for dinners at night and participate in Andy Brand’ts ABK Windsurf Camp by day. It’s a great opportunity to learn to sail, hone your skills or take it to the next level. Join me at the beach for the clinic. Wednesday afternoon is free day where we go snorkeling or hiking. There are 3 organized dinners including the group BBQ Thursday evening at Jibe City. Windsurfing Summer

There is so much going on this summer in Lac Bay. First off, the wind has been non stop since May. The crowds are down and it’s the perfect time to enjoy a windsurf holiday. Windsurf News at Jibe City

Jibe City has a large stock of 2012 windsurf gear rigged and ready. Bonaire has been experiencing their best steady winds of the year with the average sail size being 5.5 for men and 4.2-4.7 for women. It’s been a great holiday windsurf season so far. With brand spanking new year, it’s time to book your windsurf vacation.

I recently demoed an amazing 99 liter JP Freestyle board. The graphics were cool but more important this is a sweet board. This light weight super wide board was a breeze to sail during a high chop session. I teamed the board up with a 4.9 Neil Pryde Fusion. It was a light sail with plenty of low end power to get up to a plane quickly. I didn’t full appreciate the sail as the wind conditions were a bit gusty but feel this HD version sail.
