Sorobon- Windsurf Heaven

November 15, 2011

The east coast of the US has enjoyed some lovely winds and balmy weather. But beware, before you know it, the Alberta Clipper will arrive sending an Arctic blast to your neck of the woods. It’s the perfect time to start planning your windsurf vacation to Bonaire. Airfares are running 600-900 from most US cities. Ask about my winter repeater specials and booking incentives. There’s something for every budget.

Call Ann the Bonaire windsurf specialist at 001 508 737 5245 (US and Europe) or 011 599 786 3134 (Bonaire) today. She can plan your entire windsurf land package. Accommodations start at 75 USd a night.

Davy Scheffers, H3111 packs up his gear, throws a few board shorts into a bag and moves to Bonaire for his annual winter pilgrimage. Davy is hard core and holds back for nothing. This photo was taken in the mangroves of pristine Lac Bay. The mangroves are perfect for flat water freestyle practice. It’s serene as well. Most pros head that way to train while others like to blast in the crystal clear blue out front of the shops.

There’s no wind on the East coast of the US so hit the beaches of Bonaire next week.

12°10′ N 68°17′ W – Why I Love this Place – Part 1

June 30, 2011

Why do I love Bonaire? I moved there for the windsurfing scene. The expansive tranquil bay is my zen spot. I am one with nature on the sea. With my board and the wind, I can fly across the top of the water like a water nymph. I feel the breeze in my face and the warm Caribbean sun on my face..often I am alone for a dawn patrol sail in the summer months….it’s my bliss…this is one reason I love Bonaire!
